This project was deeply close to my heart. Sisters Unchained is a prison abolitionist nonprofit supporting girls, young women, and nonbinary youth impacted by parental incarceration. Their work is powerful, necessary, and rooted in love. It was these young people I held in mind throughout the design process. I focused on creating a brand and website that reflected both the joy and creativity they experience in the program, as well as the depth of their stories and strength. Since the initial rebrand (excluding logo) and site launch, I’ve continued to collaborate with director Vanessa on ongoing design needs, including social media templates, event materials, site updates for staffing changes and T-shirt designs. It’s an honor to support such vital work.
